PennyPause is a personal finance and impulse-control app. Your privacy is important to us. This policy explains how PennyPause handles your data.
All data you enter into PennyPause is stored locally on your device only. PennyPause uses your device's built-in storage (IndexedDB) to save your budgets, savings, debts, wishlist items, impulse check history, spending rules, and app preferences.
No data is transmitted to any external server, cloud service, or third party.
We do not collect any data. Specifically:
PennyPause does not integrate with any third-party analytics, advertising, or data collection services. The optional feedback form (accessible via Settings) uses Formspree to deliver your message. Submitting feedback is entirely voluntary and only sends the information you explicitly type into the form.
You can export all your data as a JSON file at any time via Settings > Export Data. You can also delete all your data at any time via Settings > Reset All Data. Once deleted, your data cannot be recovered.
PennyPause does not require you to create an account, sign in, or provide any personal information to use the app.
PennyPause does not knowingly collect information from children under 13. The app does not collect any information from any user of any age.
If we update this privacy policy, we will post the changes here with a new "Last updated" date. Since PennyPause does not collect data, significant changes are unlikely.
